None of the expressions make sense. I can't list them because they would delete them.
"Tossing the salad" makes the least amount of sense to me. Nothing down there resembles a salad and nothing gets tossed.

It a quite "vulgar" expression ...I would guess it was started NOT by not those who truly delight in the physical act.... but those that don't like it and never will.
That being said.... I too have used it countless times with the ladies that I have dated..... in all instances it was said for "effect" .....not for a negative effect by any means... it was a "for the moment" thing as we'd be in that type of "frisky" mood.
