Uh-oh. You better watch it. If you criticize Israel, Republicans will say you are anti-Semitic.

An important distinction is that Israel is a democracy and it's government is accountable for its actions by the people of Israel. Case in point, the president of Israel is about to be booted out of office because of the way he handled the war in Lebanon. So Olmert is not being "given a pass."
Syria on the other hand is a dictatorship, and so it's actions would have no accountablity unless the world community of nations served the purpose of an electorate to keep leaders in check.
Secondly, nuclear proliferation is not covered in the U.N Charter on Human Rights. So you are confusing two completely separate issues.

Syria and Lebanon do not have an active lobby that funds elections in this nation .
Sometimes the simple truth is all that is needed to answer a question .
Saudi Arabia had close ties with powerful American politicians ,donated heavily to the oil lobbies and thus avoided invasion after ( 9-11) when we discovered that almost all the HiJackers had come from there .

Your question is based on a false premise. Neither Israel or Syria or Lebanon are 'allowed' to do what ever they want. Any nation who attacks another nation is subject to retaliation.

Because the Israeli's are allowed to defend and protect themselves against the EVIL that surrounds them, How can anyone in their right mind expect Israel to sit back and wait to be exterminated by a bunch of rabid dog's?? and just for the record, the Israeli's are not running around with bombs strapped to them are they? and they are not promoting a psychotic mickey mouse to their kindergartners either are they? and they don't have their population sitting in front of a television set gloating and screaming death to Israel and death to America, so don't even bother trying to defend the TERRORISTS.

well since Syria and Lebanon are both terrorist states there is one hell of a difference. and who attacks who ? Israel only defends itself and they do that very well too. and if they decided to do so they would take iran out in a second.

Well, well. If you answer my question your question is answered. Why does USA support Pakistan when obviously India is developed, safe and world's biggest democracy? Moreover Indians have contributed a huge scale of economy in terms of manpower and running the American businesses. Same standards apply to Israel. American policy is to side with the wrong ones. Perverted is the answer.

Its quite ironical that Iasrael's ally, amerika, also violated NATO, UN and specifically the charter on Human Rights and unjustly attacks the civilians of other nations. Could it be that USA dishes out the pass you refer to, Huh?
