I clean my wedding bands with toothpaste and water. Just like you are about to brush your teeth, squirt a bit onto an old toothbrusg and scrub over a sink (be sure to plug it so your ring don't fall down the drain). Get every nook and cranny and rinse well with water. It'll look like you had it done by a professional and it is safe for ALL types of jewelry! :)

ok, pay attention up. The secure and strong thank you to scrub your Platinum engagement ring. First permit your ring soak for around 3 minutes ( in case your ring bends very definitely purely soak for much less then one minute). Take a delicate toothbrush and brush finished ring including diamond. permit soak for an extra minute in warm water. Now rub toothpaste all over the hoop (the toothpaste could be a paste no longer a gel and should no longer have baking soda in it) permit sit down for 30 seconds. dip your delicate toothbrush in warm water and sparkling ring from each and every achieveable attitude. bear in mind the cutex of the diamond, there's a hollow on the backside of the placing, confirm you get the comb is there besides. placed ring back in warm water for one minute, rinse toothbrush and brush ring with water purely until paste is compltely off. an important ingredient of coming up your ring look as though new is to have a jewlery steamer. Now steam the hoop until it shines. in no way have a platinum ring polished, platnium could purely be steamed WHITE GOLD can purely be polished in no way steamed. white gold is yellow gold dipped in white gold. in case you steam it the yellow gold will start to coach.

I use toothpaste, water and a toothbrush.
I was actually told this back in high school by a reputable company that sold my schools class rings. My rings have sparkled since then.
I clean my rings at least once a month.
The toothbrush gets all the nooks & crannies in the ring. The toothpaste makes the rings sparkle.

Diamond rings can be cleaned by using a solution made from 1 tablespoon of ammonia and a few soap flakes in 2 cups of warm water. Rinse afterwards in clear warm water and dip them in surgical spirit to restore their lustre. Platinum & Gold can be washed in warm soapy water

go and get a sonic jewelry cleaner. about 15 bucks. you put your ring and bracelets, whatever, into the little tray. it has a cleaning solution and it uses sound to take off the crud. my ex wife had one and she would just put her jewelry into it when she wanted it to sparkle and left it for an hour or so. cleans it up very nice.
she had lots of platinum and diamonds by the way.

Just manually wash your dishes instead of using a dishwasher. I don't have a dishwasher and wash my dishes in various brands of dish-washing liquid like Palmolive, Dawn, etc. The dish-washing liquid makes my diamond and other rings really sparkle.
