I imagine you have paid a lot of money for your new summer house.
Why not, therefore get off to a good start with a proper base that will enable it to survive a good number of years?
Putting it on the ground is asking for trouble, you will be better off in the long run lifting it at least nine inches off the ground, standing on three rows of bricks with a plastic damp proof course immediately under summer house to keep out the damp.

the area is approx 68 square feet ..if the stones are 3 inches deep ..you will need19 cubic feet ..from a builders merchants this would be classed as one large bag ..£35..if is is straightforward to lay ..£40 ..if he has to dig out ..then that's more ..and then will you need a skip for rubbish ?..it can add up
