I put my fabric and vinyl curtains in the wash together on gentle cycle. Wash as usual, (with a capful of your detergent ) and hang back onto curtain rod to dry. Smells great and clean as a whistle! (don't be afraid, I have done this with dozens of curtains, expensive to cheap, and it works every time!) :) Happy cleaning!

Throw it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle with about 1 cup of vinegar. Wash on a hot cycle and run it through the complete cycle. Take it out and hang it up to dry. The wrinkles will fall out and the shower curtain will look almost new again.

Fill your bathtub 1/3 with warm water, add a scoop of laundry detergent, place the curtain in the soapy water and walk around on top of it! It's kind of fun, nice and warm, and cleans off the soap scum, etc from your shower curtain. It takes about 5 minutes of "scrubbing" it with your feet, then drain the tub, rinse the curtain, and hang it back up where it can dry.

Toss it in the washer with detergent and a bath towel.
You can put it in the dryer, but only for a very short time (one minute or less) then hang up immediately.
