A cell membrane or cell wall. A cell wall, if present, is exterior to the cell membrane. Cell walls are not found in animals and are found only rarely in protists, but are generally present in plants, bacteria, archaea, fungi, and algae. Technically, these features are part of the cell; they surround the cytoplasm and organelles. The cell itself is surrounded by other cells.

A cell is a complex item. It is surounded by a membrane which covers the cytoplasm and recieves orders from the nucleus to open up to certain chemicals.Cells altogether are surrounded by lots of cells. This makes up a tissue which is an essential part of cell specialisation.

Hope it helped

Cells are enclosed by a cell membrane which is selectively permeable (which means that it allows entry of some substances but not others). Cells are surrounded by the "internal environment" or extracellular fluid. This is like a little "pond" in which all your cells live in. The extracellular fluid is maintained at the right temp, pH, etc for optimal cellular functioning and also provides routes for nutrient delivery and waste removal for the cells.

A cell membrane in animals and a cell wall in plants (Cell membrane is present inferior to it).
Cell membrane is also called plasma membrane and is semi permeable that is it allows only certain substances to pass through it while cell wall is freely permeable and allows everything to pass through it. It is made of cellulose and is just to provide rigidity to plants and acts as roughage in the body.

a cell membrane and a cell wall....
cell wall is present only in the case of plant cells..
2 adjacent cells are joint togather via a cementing layer known as middle lamella...also,there are pits in the cell walls which connects the cells with one another..

some cells such as blood cells also have a cell coat...
