When Darth Vader was attempting to stop Luke from destroying the Death Star, Han Solo fires down on the other Tie fighter knocking Vader into space. Where did Vader go?

Vader does regain control of his ship (we see a shot where it's no longer tumbling), and it is a custom-made long-range model. Presumably he just made for the nearest Imperial ship or outpost, then made contact with the Emperor and eventually got back to Coruscant (the Imperial capital).

After Solo hit him, Vader spins for a while but then recovers. He flew to another Imperial ship in space.

I think he must have gone to the home of Emperor Palpatine, hung out there until the stuff calmed down. Shared Sith secrets and strong drink.

According to Wookiepedia, he made his way to Vaal, then to Coruscant (the hyperdrive was damaged, forcing him to crash on Vaal). The official site says nothing, however.
