What are good brands, I haven't had much dealing with these. Thanks!!

Personally, I hate gel pads. They make the horses back hot, press on the withers (even when you've pulled up the pad originally), and make it difficult to sit the trot. I much prefer real sheepskin half pads and so do the horses.

Hi. I am currently using Gel Impact pads on 2 of my horses, no complaints so far! I have also been using the ESP pads and really like them, not a gel pad though.

I had a gel pad and i hated it, it cepped nipping my horses skin so I stick to saddle pads!!

I use wintec! Their gel pads are great-- kind of expensive but they last!
