I would tell them to provide you with a company-owned work truck if they wish to install a GPS unit.

Other than that, they can take a hike.

BTW: If you have a work cell phone, they can already track you using the GPS unit in the phone.

If they supply you with the work truck. They can put in a GPS to make sure you are doing your job and not driving all over the place. If you say no, they will be very suspicious and might fire you, that is if it is their truck but you drive it.

You can say no, of course. You may be fired as a result without any recourse if this GPS is a requirement that is enforced with all employees with similar job duties. What, you think you deserve special treatment?

You can say no but then you may risk losing any reimbursements you get for your truck from your company by doing so

I think they would like to put one if for your use. So if you're going to a jobsite, you just enter the address and the GPS tells you how to get there.

They do not have the right to put it in your truck. I vote for them giving you a truck if they want it in.

you could say no but why would you....a gps is very useful....and if you are doing what you are sopposed to in your contract you should have nothing to worry about..they are probably more concerned about what you are hauling getting where it needs to go....
