I was baby sitting when i was 13! I have a 14 year old and a 12 year old and they stay alone sometimes. A few hours here and there is fine, just not over night. Probably better ask your parents, since its their ultimate decision.

I can't see any reason why you shouldn't. Most 13 yr olds don't need to be babysat 24/7 try asking yourself exactly what difference you being there makes. Also if you do leave make a note with a number of someone he can contact.

How old are you? Where will you be going? For how long? What time do you plan on leaving him alone? If you do decide to leave him, make sure to leave him a note and tell him where you went and when you will be back.

nothing wrong with it. he's old enough to take care of himself for the most part. just be nice & leave a note of course. I started staying home by myself at 11 (for short periods of time) & then it eventually became longer cause I started babysitting.

He's perfectly old enough, but I wouldn't do it unless I've spoken with him and his parents and made sure he knew what to do in an emergency. I wouldn't just leave him while he was sleeping though, that's just plain irresponsible.

Why not he's a teenager ! He's not mental or anything is he? If not he just better be able to take care of himself for a few hours, not days but he can get along just fine , now you go out and enjoy the day.

I would never leave him alone.... Although at that age they think they are so mature you would be surprised at the daft things that boys that age do... Ask my three sons they could give you a list. lol

Why not?
I am 14 and am left alone at home most of the times
Keep him away from YA!, once you are in, there is no way out.

No.

A 13-year-old is a child, and is not equipped to deal with an emergency should one arise.

The answer is "NO."
