I usually grab a tire iron with my right hand and tap it gently on the bottom of my left hand.....and wait for signs of sorrow from the offending party.

MY facial expression is a unyielding, blank stare.

Not all criticisms are bad, There are cricitisms that are
helpful in correcting things that a person did so that he will
refrain from doing such thing again. However,if .the criticism
hurled at you is not to the betterment of something you did not
do correctly the first time then I agree with you.

First off I thank the person who gave it to me. Then I consider as to whether it is constructive or destructive criticism. Constructive criticism I may make use of to make myself a better person. Destructive criticism I throw out without a second thought to it.

At the time, I get angry.
But as I think about it, I consider the source. It may be from a person who has unspoken issues with you, and instead of saying what the problem is, they criticize.

I consider it's validity and what I can take away from it, and then let it augment my life or ignore it.

If the person is just being ignorant and rude, this is not true criticism, but jabs and insults, which need no evaluation.

It depends, of course my emotions would rush and kill everything that offended me but I'll sit down and think later on 'what did happen' or 'was it helpful to me?'. If they are not, then worry not and be happy that you have ignore :D

i'm usually defensive-hey, that's me. i dont know if tis being a woman but im pretty sensitive bout it in the beginning.. it takes a lot form me to take critisicms calmly. however, once i see if the criticism makes sense, i take it in stride.

criticism for me is another form of..-unsolicited opinion :)

I dont like criticism at all. I feel like when I try to do something, and someone is negative about it, they are just being mean, and I dont like it.
