Jericho is a very popular show and I think that CBS has made a corporate mistake in cancelling Jericho. Now, I think it's time we start a petition to overthrow CBS decision and bring the show back on the air where it belongs!!!!!!!!!

It was a great show... I think the big downfall was having the 3 month hiatus mid-season... people lost interest. Why put a highly popular show on hiatus, when its bringing you viewers??? Makes no sense, but might also indicate that the show was not a favorite with the Executives - despite the popularity... they'll do stuff like that on purpose sometimes if they don't really like a show. For instance, Star Trek was popular, and the letter writing campaigns kept it on the air for a couple of years, but the executives did not like it...

I really want to know what happens next... there is talk that they might do some kind of a closure thing... possibly a TV movie or something that will be posted to the Internet.

There is a movement right now - http://www.nutsonline.com/jericho
that is sending nuts to CBS to get Jericho back on the air! It alludes to the line Jake says in the season finale NUTS... SUPPORT JERICHO... SEND NUTS TO CBS!!!!

They should not have cancelled this show. It had gained a following. I am glad the writers above supplied the petition links. I am gonna sign up as soon as I finish this answer.

This is so typical of network tv. The problem is with the ones who make the shows and pitch them to the networks. They only make a few episodes just in case the show don't pan out. And then when the show hits it big, there aren't enough shows to go on for 13 weeks. So the networks have to stop...wait for some more shows to be filmed and then resume the schedule. Fans of any given show are treated without any regard. The networks will start moving the shows all over the schedule and we, the fans, gotta play detective.

In the good old days of tv, shows were filmed for at least 26 weeks...In the summer and we got reruns of all the shows we had seen all year. Then they started a new season in the fall with all new shows. So many of what we call "classic" shows, were almost cancelled, but due to summer reruns they picked up a whole new audience that hadn't seen the show during the regular run. That's the problem.....the networks changed what used to be the regular seasons. Now all we get is some tv shows inbetween sweeps !!!!!!

Too bad for the viewers who become vested in a show only to be told they are cancelled after a few weeks.

I watched it a couple of times, it seemed OK. The thing is, they kept switching the times and days, so it was hard to follow. At one point they had it on against "24" (Fox) and I cant miss 24 for anything.

Its a decent show though...

They extra it returned for 7 episodes to wrap up the cliffhanger and supply a end to the elementary tale (nevertheless there became into room to do greater, with the aid of fact the sequence ended with the commencing up of a sparkling Civil conflict).

No, it wasnt a mistake. Obviously the ratings were not there. At least they didnt pull it in mid season. There is only so much you can do with a show like that. Personally, I never liked it.
