Ideas for a Carnival photo shoot?

Hi all,

I'm part of a carnival group that is going to have a photo took of us and some kids to promote the event. We are trying to think of things we could do/use - all we have come up with really is us all holding balloons and the kids wearing fancy dress or having their faces painted. Anyone got any better ideas? what really says carnival??

It sounds quite Good actually. Maybe if you have a background of Big Ben in London or something. And put exotic flowers in the girls hair and sparkly jewellery. and get some boys to those party horn things.
Get loads of ballons and just let them them go as soon as the camera shoots

Good ideas to start .. but ... add these ideas: Owners/Pets in Costumes (best Matching Pair!), Circus Parade (where kids are dressed up in various animal masks and play-act like they ARE those animals), Farm or Pastoral Scenes (like Hayrides, on a Haywagon, Horses on Parade), Make some "Street Signs" (Lion Way .. Tiger Trail ... Elephant Lane ... and have them pointing in different directions with miles to underneath), costumes from their national origins (from the countries of their ancestors), Dunking Booth Photos, etc etc etc ...

All of these can be used to publicize a local Carnival event in your town .. for your church or school group, or even as a fund raiser for scouts or some other charity event!
