you are incorrect.

the cost of getting a pound of garbage to the moon would be too much.

we DO need to get back to the moon, whoever controls the moon will control the earth.

This is a "worn out" question. You're exposing yourself as naive. The Russians were competing with the US for world technological supremacy. Don't you think THEY would have been the first to say "HOAX" some thiry-eight years ago? There were SOOOOOOOOOOO many worldwide experts examining the data and the origin of signals FROM the surface of the Moon.

Read the FULL story from a reliable source. You're just lining the pockets of the real hoaxsters who write this tripe about how all six missions must have been staged, and the US just pulled the wool over the eyes of the whole rest of the world.

After six very expensive landings (and one near disaster), we got all the info we needed to keep us busy analyzing for years thereafter. We discovered robots could accomplish what men could do for a tenth the cost. Why would we be spendthrift idiots and continue to send manned missions there. What's to gain?

Try using common sense. Think for yourself instead of swallowing "sensational" trash. Quit reading tabloids.

Short answer. Yes men from the United States of America walked on the moon starting in July of 1969. We haven't been back and we can't send trash there for the simple reason that it is fantastically expensive to get anything out of earth's gravity well.

there is gravity everywhere, even on the moon and in space.

it took billions of dollars to launch three men and a few little things to the moon, launching several billion tons of garbage to the moon would cost even more. it would be cheaper to keep it on the ground.

so far they haven't had reason to go back to the moon, after beating russia there they had no real reason to keep going there and so funding was cut and the missions cancelled.

btw if the us space program was a hoax then i guess so was russia's, and china's and japan's and the E.U.s as well?

The Apollo lunar missions were funded by the taxpayer, and it cost $24 billion. If you can't persuade the taxpayer that it is worthwhile, they won't support the congressman who gives their money to NASA, so the congressman doesn't give it so NASA can't do it. On top of that, the money NASA is given is gievn to them to do specific things with. They're not just given the cash and told to spend it, they are told what they spend that money on. If they're not given the money to spend on lunar missions then lunar missions don't happen. Simple.

Give NASA the funds and the mandate to do it, as is now slowly happening again, and they will send people back to the Moon.

Because it is extremely expensive.

Our government can't even keep an "essential" program for spying on "terrorists" secret for more then a year and you're telling me that they've kept the moon landing "conspiracy" secret for almost 40 years. Please.

Its EXPENSIVE to go there. and no we couldn't send trash there because there is no gravity and it would just end up floating around in space which is bad for the universe . I don't think anybody would want to know there was garbage up there, there is enough space junk as it is.
