I'm 16 and have a huge crush on a boy 2 years younger than me. I've heard of girls dating younger guys with a larger age gap than that. I'm curious what was the youngest guy any girls here have ever dated before? How big of a difference is it compared to seeing an older boy?

When I was a freshman, I dated an 8th-grader. That doesn't seem like much of an age gap, but it is. He was soooo...well, let's not get into that. Guys mature slower than girls, so a guy that's younger than you is going to be behind maturity wise (of course, it depends on the guy, but that's the way it is most of the time). I would stick to guys that are more your age. Trust me, dating an 8th grader as a freshman is not fun!

At your age, that's a little weird since boys generally mature so much slower than girls. However, that's no reason not to try it out. He might be more mature than other 14 year olds. When you get older, the gap gets a lot smaller. I dated an 18 year old when I was 24 and it was great. I tend to like the young ones. :)

Truthfully I don't date younger guys bc its just weird! and especially if you are in the 9th and he is in the 7th that would become rather awkward fast! My bff dated a guy two grades below her and they were fine as flirty friends but then when they started dating it just went down hill. When guys date younger girls its fine bc most boys will date anything (sorry boys :D) but when a girl dates a guy below her it looks poor on her. She looks like she couldn't get anyone her own age so she had to date below her. It makes her look desperate :( (sorry). What it boils down to tho is do u like this guy? Is he worth some people judging u bc they will maybe not to ur face but they will. And most of all do u think u will get anything outta this relationship? If so then go ahead! I dont date guys below me just bc its weird and kinda gross to me but everyones opinion is different! So good luck I hoped that helped.....and to everyone I offended izzaa sorry :P

IM 16 too and ive been dating this guy for almost 71/2 months and he turned 15 in feb and ill be turing 17 in october. Its alot different then dating someone older than you because they havent really matured yet.. but it hes fun to be around.But when there young you can always mold them into being a good person!

at your age its a big no no he isnt legal and depending on the state you are wait until hes 18. its only 4 years. i married a man who is 5 years younger than me.

no, but i have a humongous crush on a boy a year younger than me. i'm almost 16, and he just turned 15. and in 20 years, it won't matter anyway.

ive never dated a guy more than a year younger... i prefer older... they are more mature mentally (and physically)

well i don't have any crush on any younger boy honestly. lots of young boys 10-12 try to hit me. it is so stupid. i consider them as my brothers. umm how can they even think me as theirs oof?
