No, because it destroys the foundation that marriage was originally intended for. It was intended for a man and woman to become one and to go forth and mulitply; and since same sexes can not mulitply, marriage isnt really meant for them, now is it? If you look in the bible, you will find tons of writings in it about how a man leaves his parents to be with is wife....etc...etc...etc....but not once will find a writing that says a man leaves his parents to be with his BF. I dont have a problem with people being gay, to each his own, i suppose, but i do have a problem with gays being allowed to marry.

No, they should not be illegal. They shouldn't be legal because....just because you don't agree with something, that shouldn't give you the right to condemn it. I believe that we cannot help who we love. We love who we love, and that's that. I am sure the gay couples out there did not just wake up one day and say..."i think I'll be gay now. I think I want to live a life of constant scrutiny and rejection from others..." It is not an easy thing for most of them to come out and tell their friends and family that they are gay. I think that as long as you are with someone and they make you happy, they respect you as a person, then by all means if you wanna marry them, you should be able to. It's hard enough to find true, unconditional love, whether you are gay or straight....so if they are lucky enough to find it...why shouldnt they be able to celebrate it like a straight couple?? They have the same wants, needs, and desires that straight people do...they just want to be loved for who they are...by making gay marriages illegal...the government is basically saying that gay people are not entitled to the same things straight people are...and that is not fair nor right.

no gay marriage shouldn't be illegal everyone has a right to be happy no matter who they are what they look like or how they decide to live everyone is different and no one should judge someone or not give them the right any other person has, being gay isn't wrong isn't bad isn't weird but many people think this because its different then what they are used to its just how one person feels about another there are no rules on love and you cant make any so everyone should see that marriage is not a privilege its a right for anyone no matter who they are.

No, i dont feel as if a gay couple should be able to marry. God made man and woman. He first made man and then decided to make a woman to compliment man and be his helper. God also created sacred marriage. marriage between a man and a woman. I do not judge people, in fact, i have many gay friends. I do not know if being gay is a choice or not because i am not gay. but whatever the sexual prefernce of a person is up to them, but marrige came from our Creator and our Creator intended the commitment to be between man and woman. If peopel want to be gay, then be gay and leave them alone....but please dont try to change the last little bit of sacred tradition that we have.

I used to say who does it hurt? But lately I think that gay marriage shouldn't be legal. Maybe make it a civil union so they can get insurance, death benefits and those kinds of things, I'm just not comfortable calling it a marriage, I know it sounds moronic, sorry, but it's how I feel.
Saying marriage to me sounds like it is accepted by God, and I know that it's not. Calling it a civil union is a legal term not a religious one.

I hate to be mean, but I thought at first it was probably nice for gay people to come out of the closet and get that relief. But now I wish they would go back in the closet because I don't like it being so "normal". God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve

Yes it should be illegal, the reason being it is morally wrong. Marriage should only be between a man and a woman. people are not born being gay....it is a choice, a choice because they want to be different. I don't really care if they choose this life style, because I chose mine and they chose theirs that is one of the great freedoms of this country. but as far as the legalities of men marrying men and women marrying women, it is morally wrong.

I see no problem with it, there are many things afforded to married people that you cannot get by being someones partner.
If a homosexuals partner is in the hospital it is impossible to get information because that person is not considered family. If the partner is unconscious or unable to communicate they have no rights what so ever, they can't even see their partner.
They can't get insurance, tax breaks and they have a harder time adopting children.

Points to consider:

Legally changing the marriage laws to spouse and spouse instead of man and wife.

What is natural.

Children.

Marriage as a human right for all.

Entitlement to partners estate, tax benefits.

That's all I can think of for now sorry.

Why
against christian views
some people get offended
what chromosome makes someone gay?(how can they prove that being gay isnt really a choice)
Why not?
Its like a man and woman being married

its not a "choice"
