I dunno but it's so hateful and a terrible thing to say. I hope they stop soon for it shows their ignorance and inability to be creative.

I wonder if rappers ever will stop using that hateful word. It seems that efforts have been made in the past, but people keep on buying...so the producers keep on making. In my own case, it is not so much that that word makes me "tired" of listening to rap, but rather turns me off it altogether.

They will quit saying it when people quit buying it. They have said it so much that alot of white people use it. Thats where the problem comes in. Its different if a black person says it to another, but if a white person says it(no matter the context) it is wrong! We need our music to talk about healthy stuff. Not killing, or selling drugs, especially not racist words. If you dont want to be called that then dont call anyone else that either.

Well.... As a white guy I'm probably not the best one to respond to this but...

While I don't especially like hearing them use the word N***a (which is slang for friend or hommie and isn't supposed to be offensive in the same way that the word N***er is) all the time, I understand why.

See when you are being persecuted and demeaned with a word, it becomes empowering to take that word away from the persecutor, change it a bit and take possession of it.

While I still think it is a bit childish, I don't think it is nearly as offensive as when rap artist refer to women a hos or bitches.

Yeah man, I really think it's the worst word in the English language. We've been desensitized to it, but sometimes it still shakes my very being to hear it. But I don't think it will ever stop though. I think Russell Simmons with the help of civil rights leaders are trying to convince rappers and hip-hop artist together to agree to stop using it in songs.

first of all, not all rappers say it, and second of all, if it offends you, don't listen to it. It's all about money, and trust me, if more people felt like you, there sales would go down, when they notice their sales going down, they'll have to change their style. Sales going UP means they're doing something good, (in there mind) and that means continue with it.
