If we say yes, are we just confirming what your asking?
I do agree, I asked the other day why do some people ask a question, get a bunch of answers following 1 line of thinking - which is generally not in favor of what they were asking - and then the 1 answer which supports them is awarded as best answer.
Some people ask really open questions that do promote discussion and then look seriously at how things have been answered, and they are good questions. But others who just ask "am i right about this blah blah blah" and are only interested in people who say yes are annoying.

I agree that a lot of the personal problem questions are just confirmations, but I know I ask questions when I genuinely don't know the answer to what I'm looking for.

properly, I especially carry around contained in the Classical communicate board, and on a daily basis, there are questions like this: "the place am i able to get the sheet song for Bella's Lullaby?" "the place am i able to acquire Patchyball's Cannon for unfastened?" "What are some quite dark, depressing products of song?" I recommend, do no longer those human beings see a zillion identically-worded questions whilst they're writing THEIRS? and of path, enable's no longer point out each and every of the questions which at the instant are not something better than thinly veiled requests for homework help. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!... Cheers, Hafwen.

This sounds like a confirmation question to me and my answer confirms that I believe the same thing.

possibly - some people are so young inexperience in life so when they break up in a relationship they feel is the end of the world for them so they want/need a "confirmation" from us that everything they're feeling is normal and it's going to be okay.

I do agree. I believe people post their situation in front of a bunch of strangers to justify the way they feel or acting is normal or not. And then there are people who are just bored.

Yes.
I also see more that people want a VALIDATION OF THEIR OPINION, not really an answer that may differ.
It is a way to connect. Yes, to have hope about certain things.
Have a good day.

I pretty much do. Some of them really haven't got any idea of the answer so they ask to find out. Others are just expressing anger on what is going on, and others are simply comedians looking to make us laugh. I appreciate them all!!!

Not all. Depending on the categories. In P&S, it's mainly fun stuff. Some questions do not even make sense!
