The relationship deteriorates. If there is no communication...then you have NO idea about what each other is going through or each others ideas, hopes, wants, dreams. If there are problems in a relationship and no communication...you will not know the problem nor how it could be addressed. Communication is a very effective way of keeping things burning at an even keel.

Ineffective communication leads to misunderstanding, which can lead to all sorts of problems, from a personal to a national level.. Ever played Chinese Whispers? In case U don't know, It's akids' game where everyone sits in a circle. One person is given a message to whisper to the one next door, and so on round the circle. The fun is to see how the message gets distorted on the way round. Hope this helps.
