I've been working out 14 days straight now, and have had a very strict diet of healthy foods only, about 1400 calories a day, and I still keep gaining weight (and yes, it does seem to be fat weight, not muscle weight). I've gained weight all this year, and it's like I can't stop gaining no matter how hard I'm working against it. I'm not pregnant either, so it doesn't make sense. Please help? What's wrong that's making it so I can't lose weight?

yeah, I am honestly eating really, really well. Salads are my snacks, I have healthy cereal for breakfast with a little milk, and I have wraps for lunch and usually grilled chicken or sushi for dinner. Never any chips or fries or ice cream, I no longer like their taste (avocado's my treat!). I feel like I've been very good at my diet, so I really don't understand why it's getting worse. I would say thyroid problems, but I guess you're supposed to only gain about 7 pounds at the most from those, and I've gained more than that.

If your honestly mmaking healthy food choices and not assuming diet coke and baked chips are enough and your still gaining, talk to a doctor. I dont know how much but thyroid problems cause weight gain.

Have you had a physical at your Doctors? Hypothyroidism makes you gain weight. But frankly if you had it you would not have much energy to work out.

Since you are not losing on 1400 calories a day maybe you need to look at exactly WHAT you are eating.

Cut out starches. That usually makes a big difference.

Good Luck

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/v3fh3

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.

the problem shouldnt be with how much your limiting your diet and exercising, the problem could be with what your actually eating, if they are fatty, oily, sugary foods, and around when your eating, and how much you eat at one time...take notice of all these aspects...you should set a time for example 8 oclock and say to yourself that your not allowed to eat after that...and dont eat right before you sleep or nap, and dont have a large amount at one time, limit and then after 2 hours or so continue

Listen to your body. It needs rest and proper nutrition. I have suffered from an eating disorder and been hospitalized, and what I've learned is to accept your body. Give it what it needs and be happy with yourself. You ARE beautiful just the way you are.
