it will be very expensive but it is possible, you need to get to Wireless bridges. The Cisco 1200 AG or the Cisco 1300 bridge are probably your best bet. You also need two Cisco Dish antennas aimed almost perfectly. you can use a laser or a compass.

Unless you or your employer own all of the land between your house and the office you have no rights to run a physical carrier (wire or fibre optic) between the two sites. Any cable you run will trespass on others property and can be removed - will be removed unless you agree a way-leave for it.

Unless you've got point-to-point sight you can't use microwave or laser connection ... not sure what your radio transmitter authorities would say about you setting up a private microwave link either... especially through a residential area.

You're onto a no-win here as well... setting up such a link will cost so much you'd be better off paying for your own broadband link... or staying at work... or moving to next door to the office.

A physical connection is out of the question just due to sheer cost. A VPN (Virtual Private Network) will work, but you would have to set it up over a dial-up connection. The dial-up connection would nullify any speed advantage you would get from the broadband at work, so basically you're stuck with dial up unless you want to fork out the money for broadband if it's even available in your area.

Well if you have line of site - meaning no hills etc between you and your office a couple of Tranzeo or similar point to point wireless units would allow a wireless connection
They run about 300 -500 each unit.

Other PtoP units are available from
http://defactowireless.com etc
