PLOW has a pretty valid answer, and one we can all relate to. Blue is just another name, as the last one was PEACH, in certain astrological references. The fact that 2 Full Moon dates come in one month is enjoyable enough as is, and certainly since it effects TIDES then must also have other, even personal effects.
Does it mean the WereWolves will prowl, or vampires will celebrate???
Will it have a REAL or assumed affect on any individual? I suppose it can, and certainly those already believing in those aspects of the Physical, and metaphysical Sciences, it can have noticeable effect.
To assume YES is just that,,,until something actually manifests. To become paranoid is pretty futile, as we shouldn't stress over things not strictly in our control. To actually LOOK for the "strange" or any anomolies that may happen, can either be valid research, or a way one might allow such things to guide ones life (which may seem valid to them?)
On a personal level I enjoy every FULL Moon, for the most obvious reason to me,,,it's beauty, and to be afforded 2 in one month is like Icing on an already delicious cake.

Yes, something strange always seems to occur on a full moon. The "blue" moon is just an extra full moon in a month. While not a common occurance, it does happen three or four times a year. The strange thing depends on the observer.

No, the moon isn't in all probability blue. A blue moon is whilst there are 2 finished moons interior an identical calendar month. this does not ensue very regularly, so whilst relating a minimum of something that doesn't ensue very regularly, somebody will say that it occurs "as quickly as in a blue moon".

The blue moon is technically when there are 2 full moons within a month. Strange things always happen during a full moon, dogs get weird, murders are up as well s psychosis, hence the term, lunatic.

A "blue Moon" is nothing more than an accident of our weird calendar system. It has absolutely _nothing_ to do with the Moon or astronomy. And it is no different than any other Full Moon.
