Why does ice make me cringe?

Oh god I hate it so much, my whole body turns on edge when someone bites ice, its horrid!!!!!!!
Why does this happen?

i know what u feel. i experience the same thing, not when someone bites ice, but when i hear the sound of metal scratching against each other. eg fork and spoon (can u imagine while im typing this im already feeling uncomfortable)

dont think u can cure it or whatsoever. just live with it.

Psychologically speaking, it is likely that you had at some point heard that sound while something else happened that made you cringe. To this day you have that reaction to it (Pavlonian type response). It also could be that you have sensitive hearing to the noise level of crunching ice so your body is trying to protect itself.

I get a similar reaction when someone is making those balloon animals the sound of the plastic gives me the "someone walking over my grave" sensation.

You have some phobias. This may be one of them. some people can't stand the scratching sound of chalk on blckboard. Some people can't stand the scraping sound of spoons in a metal container.
