I must go tonight
I must take a suitcase
Big enough to contain my shirt of loneliness
And walk in a direction
Where epic-singing trees can be seen;
Towards the vast wordless expanse which keeps calling me.
Someone called me again: Niny!,
Where are my shoes?

Ah therein lieth the rub, our lass has nae shirt oan her back could it be the shoes are hidden beneath the large shirt that is filling up your suitcase. Or mayhap the suitcase is standing in them?
If not perhaps the epic-singing trees can whisper where they might be headed. But I know this for certain............

Very effective repetition of line 'where are my shoes'. Sorry to be prosaic but if the shirt of loneliness is yours, what conceivable size would it be to need special consideration about 'a suitcase big enough to contain' it ?

excellent poetry that stretches reader's own imagination by deploying misdirection known as 'intentional fallacy.' i like the profound intensity of walking 'Towards the vast wordless expanse which keeps calling me.'

Your shoes are missing? That's weird because your poetry writing skills are missing also. Maybe they are hiding from you together.
