Why dont we take the billions squandered on welfare and give extra pay to our troops?

Helping people out when they need it , if you are a Christian, is part of our obligation a human beings. Maybe the government should try and locate the 400 million that disappeared in Iraq. That would help with a pay raise for our military as we know they certainly deserve it. Also, I hope you are never in a position where you need a hand.

How about bringing all the troops home and let that crapy country return to feudal times and taking all ablebodied people off of welfare and make them work. If we did both of these things, two problems would be solved and we probably would balance the budget on top of it.

If they refused 20% of the fiscal grants named to colleges who shell out money to do repetitive studies they've done for 40 years... That's a hell of a lot of savings and it doesn't re-invent the results of those types of tests.

GOOD IDEA! Or better yet, have those welfare recipients who don't get jobs week month after month join the military! They will get pay and food and a place to live, and they will be working for it.
