I want to get into photography but I dont know the science behind the technology of the camera. Such as which lens is best to buy and what it is used for, or what all the terms in reference to the equipment even means. Is there somewhere I can go or a book that I can buy that teaches me this?

Look at some simple books on photography or some good websites (I will email them to you if I come across). Actually, you don't need to know much about the equipment to be a good photographer. That part is art!

Do some preliminary search and get back to me. The technical part is easy and I will help you.

I came across a great book for starting out in the field of photography. It helped me a ton! My pictures have gone from somewhat ok.. to magazine quality.

The description from the autor is better than any I could write. It reads,:

"Teach Yourself Photography is packed, from cover to cover, with priceless hints and tips on all aspects of photography. This book gives beginning and amateur photographers alike the complete lowdown on everything from buying equipment to developing film to presenting finished pictures. And it covers the latest developments in digital and Advanced Photo System (APS). The book's large, full-color format makes it an easy-to-use reference."

This is a great place to start!

Naturally I'll ought to get a few seamless paper, white probably, but in addition black. But the naked bones procedure: a million) Canon 5D mkII two) Canon EF70-200mm f2.eight three) 1x 580EXII, 2x SB600, 3x pocketwizard four) three stands, three brollies. five) Seamless white paper. Even then, that package will set you again round £four-5000. This combo simply works, offers well lighting fixtures flexibility, and the lens is an ace lens. Possibly additionally might get the brand new 100mm Macro L.
