Remembered the sacrifices that my SELF (Retired Military), my SIBLINGS (Still Serving), and Our FATHER (WWII Paraplegic Veteran -- deceased) made when we VOLUNTEERED to do what others will not .. which is to serve in the US Armed Forces, and to "Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States".

Also during the long weekend we got a LOT of progress on the Home Renovations that are going on at one sibling's home -- as well as general work done on the farm.

UNFORTUNATELY -- one of the more stressful things was late on the Memorial Day weekend we had one of the horses getting spooked, and get injured. That was very scary -- but ... given that stupid idiots during the night were going out into the more rural areas (like where the farm is) and shooting off fireworks (which definitely SCARE the Horses for sure) ... THAT is what concerns me -- that these idiots would be SO UNCARING about others and domesticated livestock that they think it may be "funny" to spook a horse or cow or any other animal.

My young ones are on a visit this twelve months yet in many situations their Cub Scout patrol joins different section female and Boy Scout communities to place flags on the graves on the Veteran's Cemetery in Westwood. There are something like 80,000 graves and the finished adventure (after the pageantry) takes perhaps 20 minutes to place flags on each and all of the graves, that's sort of cool.

Went to a hotel Friday night so my grand daughter could go swimming. Went to the flea market Saturday, then we met my husband's brother & his family at Chuck E Cheese on Saturday night. (We were going to go to the drive in, but it was raining.) Went to church on Sunday, then came home to a belated "surprise" 25th anniversary party that our daughters and my niece put together for us (our 25th anniversary was April 24th), and went to King's Island with the family yesterday.
