This is a very good question. There are two distinctly different views on what time is. One view is that time is linear and part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence, and time itself is something that can be measured. A contrasting view is that time is part of the fundamental intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which we sequence events, quantify the duration of events and the intervals between them, and compare the motions of objects.
In my opinion, I cant choose either one because both seem like very valid definitions of what time is. Maybe its both?

We already know that time is subject, if you travel close to the speed of light time passes more slowely or stops completely at the speed of light then for the objserver who is not moving relatively speaking. Also, before the universe existed there was no time and after it is gone there will be no time. Time is just a way of measuring one thing verses another like weight which can change depending on the source or gravity.
As for proof. Scientists use enthropy experiments to prove time. Enthropy which is disorder always increases in a closed system. Things tend to get more and more disorderly as time goes by.

There is no just time but there is a time-space. Time represents motion from here to there. In time 1 something is at A and then this thing goes to B. It takes time for it to move. So as long as there is space and motion, there is time.
You can sometimes feel that time does not exist which is linked with the 4th consciousness, but then you also feel that space does not exist either. However this is a world where matter exist and so time and space too.

you were born a little boy and now you've grown up. without time would you have being at the stage you are. when we say time, we dont necessarilly mean the time in a wrist watch. A watch is just an illustration of time. people have being calculationg time using the coming out and going of sunset for morethan a 1000 years. Go do some little research some and you'll know that time really exist.

Below each question and answer there is a time that says how long the question or answer was posted. If Yahoo says there is time, then that should be proof enough right there.

D = S*T
T =D/S
SO, T =0 ONLY WHEN S =INFINTY
NO ONE CAN TRAVEL WITH INFINITE SPEED
SO, ITS A JOKE THAT TIME = 0
SO, THERE IS TIME.

The bigger question is: does it matter?
Or as Mr. Spock once said: "A difference that makes no difference is no difference." ;-)
