I am also 6 weeks pregnant with my first, and like you I am being sick all day everyday. Im finding it partically difficult at work in the office. I havent yet found anything that helps apart from fresh air. If you find a miracle cure please let me know x

You are completely normal - don't worry! Sickness can last all through pregnancy and everyone is different. My sister had sickness until week 26 and has 2 lovely kids. It's just pants that you have the sick feeling still! I had sickness till week 15 (currently 31 weeks) and the one thing I'm learning fast about being pregnant is everyone has different symptoms and everyone worries they are not feeling the same as the textbooks! I was anxious about movements too and every niggle was "is that the baby!" I started to feel the baby week 20 and now there's no mistaking the 4 hour on/off punch session each night! My friend hardly felt her very healthy daughter!

Welcome to the club Huney! I feel sick 24/7 but I've learned that if I eat breakfast (usually something with bread in it) I dont feel as bad during the day. Also, you can eat toast or carry crackers around with you. I like eating the dry cereal! Im not suffering from heartburn however so you might want to ask your doc what to do about that. Or you can ask someone at your local pharmacy! Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy

I felt the same way for my entire first trimester. I actually had to quit my job because I was sick literally 24/7. My doctor prescribed me Diclectin. It will help with the nausea, and it does work, but it made me really drowsy. Ask your doctor or pharmacist, but I was allowed Peptobismol for the heartburn, and as for ginger, read anything you might consider taking for contraindications. I was thinking of ginger tea and it says right on the box, do not take if you are pregnant. Eat small meals/snacks very high in protein, like cheese and crackers. It helped me quite a bit as far as the fatigue and nausea also.

hi, i started to feel sick at 5 weeks and i know how you feel. Try eating little and often, that should also help with the heartburn. Rest whenever you can and try ginger biscuits or rich tea, they worked a treat for me and also mints. Make sure you drink plenty of water if you can stand it. Also if you get heartburn on a night, prop yourself up in bed. Ihope some of that helps and you start to feel better soon.My sickness started to wear off at around 9 weeks so hang on in there. Congrats on the baby and try to enjoy it x

If you are feeling sick, that is great news! that means everything is going well. To fight some of it, just eat small snacks throughout the day or eat crackers (although that gets a little tiring after a while). For the heartburn, just stay away from spicy foods and don't lie down after eating. Try to just sit up for about 30 minutes or so.

Very normal, although I'd keep a check on the dizziness.... You should be feeling better by your 2nd trimester... 1/2 way there honey! You'll be alright... eat light, drink lots of fluids and rest often!! Congrats and Good Luck
You can eat tums as often as you like, they are good for you and baby, lots of calcium.... will help heartburn!

Maalox helps for the heartburn. For the sickness/nausea try some ginger tea or ginger flavored candy. I have a body wash/lotion/spray that is ginger and white tea scented, and the smell just helps me. I wish I could offer advice for the dizyness, but I haven't suffered from that.
Congratulations on your good news!!!

I am mum to a nine month old, and my pregnancy was chaotic. I felt very ill to start with. Eat unsalted popcorn for your sickness, I found it helped (My midwife passed that one on to me) for heartburn drink full-fat milk and/or avoid spicy, or sour foods. Pizza gave me heartburn. I also avoided citrus fruits and curries. Try to avoid Zantac or Gaviscon because it's better to go au natural when you are pregnant. Oh, and try peppermint tea for the heartburn, ginger tea and ginger biscuits for the sickness.
