They found out the husband was a woman, and now they are being jailed, They can get possibly 7 years to life in prison. This is suppose to be a first for Pakistan. What do you think about this? Should they be freed? Is Pakistan too closed-minded?

I've seen it. It is not surprising as Pakistani courts have killed people for alleged same-sex relationships before. Only in this case, I think it is important to note that while the Pakistani government considers the husband a woman, he is a transman and a post-operative transman at that.

Considering they are from Pakistan, I think they got off easy. No public humiliation first. No torture (well, who knows). No death! It looks like Pakistan is getting to be alittle open minded. That's progress for that country. maybe there's soem hope for other changes.

Pakistan, along with much of central Asia, is Neolithic. I'm surprised those two made it as far as the jail cell without being stoned to death.

Pakistan has it's laws and while I don't feel it's fair, with their inherant Muslim background, it's not surprising. What I am surprised about is that they are not hanging them. Usually they bestow death....

Pakistan is primitive and backward. They should leave them the hell alone.

They may have the bomb but htey have a long way to go before they're civilised.
