I was told when I go to the lodge you have to be well dresed. So I bought a suit...is that too dressed?

Yes and no for your initiation. I choose to wear one and preferred to be suited after the initiation. Some lodges allow lesser dress at business meetings but I suggest against it. If the option is open for either way of dress take the higher road. Enjoy your journey.

just fine. go and enjoy yourself for this is one of the most important times in your life. suggest from the time you enter the Lodge you pay attention to what is going on as this will help you later in your Masonic way of life. remember do not be afraid for every Brother has taken the same degree. I always tell the candidate " there is nothing to fear as they are not going to hurt you in any way. After all they want you to come back and we need all the dues we can get. " this said in a sense of humor tends to help a candidate relax. GOOD LUCK and ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE.

I did over 30 years ago and still enjoy the experience of going to every Lodge meeting I can.

If you know the code of the masons then abide by them.Grow up the world doesn't care about your advancement.Have you never been there and to an initiation?
