There was a movie one time that said time was irrelevent.

The main character stated - 10 seconds of holding your hand to a hot stove was an eternity - while 10 seconds of holding your hand on a beautiful woman seemed instantaneous or something to that affect.

I thought it made perfect sense at the time. Time flies when you are doing something you love or enjoy.

When you don't want it to, as in:

when you have a deadline on something

the expiration on some special food that you've been looking forward to eat

the dates when you start seeing that special someone

when you are out on a working night and you know you have to work the next day but still can't leave

sitting here, asking & answering Q's

when you're already late

on a great holiday

when making a list of 'when does time usually fly'....

When you're having fun? Maybe that was why the kid threw the clock out the window (to see time fly).

When I'm cooking and the kitchen is slammed, time really does fly by. So busy it sucks but time flies.

It usually flies when I am enjoying something, behind at work (wanted to get off on time) or when I'm on a time constraint (have to be somewhere at a certain time)
