My computer has a processor speed of 745 MHz ,i would like to increase it to about 1.5 GHz

What you are talking about is overclocking, where you make your processor and motherboard components work faster than they normally do.
This is done by caning the FSB speeds, cpu core voltage, ram voltage, ram timings etc.. and to be able to dissipate all the extra heat you will need more cooling .. better heatsinks & fans ..
but what you are asking for is a bit too much .. i really doubt if you can double the speeds, and still be stable .. why dont you read about overclocking in detail .. and check ur manuals to see if your components can take it ... maybe you can touch 1.0 ghz .. but not more ..

You are dreaming of a 100% overclock on an old processor. You might be the first to do it, possibly with liquid nitrogen cooling.
Make life easier! Just upgrade to a faster processor. It will turn out cheaper because you would be less likely to toast a processor or fry a motherboard.

No,you need to get a bigger processor,now you can overclock a computer to make it run faster but you will burn up your processor quicker.I suggest either upgrading the processor or buying a newer system.

Well firstly let me suggest you upgrade...cause that is an old processor bud. You can try to overclock it, perhaps your BIOS(accessed by pressing the delete when booting up. But I don't recommend overclocking it anyway. Hope this helps!

You can increase the core voltage if the bios allows that but I doubt you can achieve the speeds you want and stay stable. That said check and see if your board will allow voltage changes and if it does taketiny steps and watch for heat.
