I would suggest you head south. Portugal, Spain, Southern France, Italy, Greece, Monaco, Mediterranean Sea cruise.

North Cyprus is a lovely place to visit all year round, enjoying over 300 days of sunshine a year. Admittedly, December is not the hottest or driest month, but it will still be considerably warmer than the UK! If you love romantic strolls along deserted sandy beaches, exploring ruined Roman cities free from tourist crowds, fresh seafood and fish grilled before your eyes, good beers, friendly people and stunning scenery, then North Cyprus is definitely for you. The Vaha Spa is a very sexy place - check it is open in December, however, or try the Hideaway Club.
My other suggestion would be Malta, but Valetta can be full of elderly escaping the Essex winter at that time of year. Instead, look at the posh resorts on Gozo; relaxing, romantic and far less geriatric!

Europe is fairly far north so it will not be exactly warm in December. (Barring global warming, of course!) Your best bets would be southern Spain, Sicily, or the Greek Isles, if you truly want to restrict your honeymoon to Europe.

On experience! Book your holiday as short as possible!!
Weather in Europe changed in the last decades, one year Greece is the best in the winter, next southern Spain.
But the coast from Valencia to Cadiz in Spain and south of Portugal are a good bet.
