I'm good at hiding but myself and others of my kind would like to come out even though some of the elders are against revealing ourselves. What should I do?

It depends... If you're gay, tell them. If you have a fettish for animals, DON'T tell them. If you eat grass, tell them. If you killed someone, don't tell them (and get professional help).
It all depends on how much you value their opinion and how much what your hiding will affect them.

which elders .... elders of "your own kind"..? or elders like parents and family...?
IF the elders are of your own kind, I would follow their advice... they may have run into more than they could take ... and do not want you hurt...
I have many things I do not care to reveal .... I just don't want people into my business ... people can be very cruel and the less fuel for the fire you offer them, the better ... if you can hide something that is out and out controversial, why not? You need to protect yourself in this world ... your private life is called that for a reason: it is private.

Become advertising spokespeople for a major product ... worked for the cave men. Or run for political office and paper the area with picture posters. People will get use to seeing you, and you will probably get a few write in votes.
