The size of the *visible* universe is finite because its age is finite and light travels at a finite speed. It's not known how big the entire universe is, though. It could be finite or infinite.

You and millions more feel the same way about the frustration of trying to comprehend the size of the universe. It all started with the big bang almost 10,000,000,000 years ago when everything that exists today came into being. I agree with you that there is no Devil or God and there probably is millions of other galaxies in the only thing that is infinite in size, 'the void.' The void created the big bang, how? I don't know, but there is no reason that I can think of that it did not create more universes. Your mind or mine is not capable of comprehending the size of the universe and all that it contains. Don't sweat it, just enjoy it and wonder about the magic involved with us being a part of it, we are children of the stars and we have figured out what makes the universe tick, to me that is nothing short of fantastic. It is estimated that the universe will continue on its present course for billions of years to come so don't hold your breath waiting to see anything vanish, that's not to say it won't happen but do you really care?

You are not alone. No one can really comprehend how large the universe is. See the link below for a little help tho.

How did it come into existence? Most believe the Big Bang started it - a huge explosion billions of years ago. All matter supposedly was all centrally located in a big expanse of nothingness. What was before that? No one knows. As far as i am aware, no one has thought back beyond that. Of course, that is just a theory, but there is some evidence in the "expanding universe" to support it..

Is it never ending? No, some time in the far, far future, it will run out of energy and... come to an end. Or some theorize, it will start contracting until all matter is pulled back into one lump, like it was before the Big Bang. This idea some call the "Big Crunch". Another theory says that this has been going on in cycles for countless eons, so as one universe dies another will eventually be born, in a new Big Bang, and so on and on and on. Still just theories.

The sun may or may not explode in a super nova someday, but it will eventually run out of energy. That will not happen for millions of years yet.

See link below on Big Bang theory.

The universe is indefinite. Just the term 'universe' itself points to something that is never-ending. It is pretty crazy to think about, just what 'indefinite' & 'never-ending' mean, probably because, as mortal humans everything we've seen with our eyes always has a beginning & an end.
I like how you think, if only other people thought about things like that, things beyond their own little world.
Don't doubt that there is a God just because you can't see Him & his purposes, & the future. There are plenty of things that we can't see that exist. And there are plenty of purposes bigger than our own & our minimal life experience that we'll see one day. Nothing as amazing as the universe can come from nothing. Just as you said, 'Whatever created the universe, is it never ending' - just by saying that you show haven't completely given up that there is a God.
The universe is pretty awesome to think about, isn't it...... :)
