the background music is not 1812 overture by tchaikovsky, it sounds like classical music, it is played during the bad news bears practice and games. Thanks

Your first post didn't specify which part of the movie and the 1812 Overture is the one most associated with The Bad News Bears...That is assuming you do mean the 1976 version and not the 2005 version.

As a kid, watching it in the theatre, I was so embarrassed about all the cussing those kids did. It made me think that the adults would look at me suspiciously upon leaving the theatre wondering if I had a trash mouth like that. Cussing was so taboo when I was younger. Odd that that's all I recall about the movie. That, and that it had baseball in it. I totally forgot the actors & the story premise of having a girl on a boys baseball team until the other answer mentioned Tatum O'Neal.

I assume you're talking about the original film starring Walter Matthau. The classical pieces are mostly taken from the opera Carmen, by Georges Bizet. The tune that's sung at the end is the Toreador Song from Carmen.
