Black Sabbath - Defined a new genre of music.
Pink Floyd - Progressive rock gods.
Dio - WHat can you say he is a "Rainbow in the Dark"
Tenacious D - Lots of talent with a nice Spinal Tap feel to them.
Over all winner for me: Black Sabbath.
Iommi's guitar work was just revolutionary. :)

I think that, if tenacious D took things seriously, they could be an amazing band. Kyle is a great guitarist and Jack a great singer. Wasted talent in my opinion, but I suppose being in comedy, people wouldn't take JB too seriously even if he was serious. Anyways, even if they did they wouldn't measure up, though they are extremely talented.

Well...uh....can't even imagine them compared. D is a contemporary novelty act. Black Sabbath made some of the original heavy metal. Pink Floyd was psychelic to the extreme (and prog at that). My preference is Floyd, but everybody will see it differently.

the thing with the d is though they are a novelty act,you can't deny that there is genuine talent there.
