Bravo bexieboo! I totally agree. Showing stick thin beauties all the time just makes guys think that that's how women should look. So we starve ourselves and exercise trying to look like them. I'm glad it shows how a women SHOULD and DOES look.

I TOTALLY agree! On Itunes they had a free download of a like the show overview. I never actually saw the show before but once i saw the overview i was like amazed! It shows to everyone that you don't have to change youself to fit it. Betty doesn't care about all the people at her work. She has a lot of self pride which Ugly Betty i like the only show that has that.

I agree 100% I've tried to watch all the episodes from the beginning but because of work and the hubby inability to record the show I've missed a few but I'll be able to watch them on catch up,I really think Betty is a realistic character and she does the show proud.

OMG! I love it soooo much! It is one of the greatest shows ever. I love the way it shows that people don't have to be beautiful to be nice. Everyone who works at Mode is horrible apart from Betty, Henry and Daniel. All the "pretty girls" are nasty! In my personal opinion, I can't stand people who are revolved about themselves and the way they look. They have to look perfect all the time - but why? No real person looks perfect every single second of every single day! And just to let you know, I WON'T GO CHANGING!! haha! so take that barbies!!!

Yes i love ugly betty think she is great. Plus the dove ads are great too as us women dont have to be a size 4 to be good looking us size 12+ women are gorgeous too.

Yeah she's such a wonderful and likeable person, it's so great that she's doing much better than the glamourous people she works with. I was dubious at first, but it does have a positive message.

For these reasons, I totally didn't understand the end of the series! Why end on such a low when the rest of the show has been so feel good!??

they were going to turn her pretty like in Devil Wears prada and some of the foreign versions but decided against that as it would lose it popularity- not everyone can just take off their glasses and braces and voila- be perfect. I think its really inspirational. Love ugly betty

Yes, it's fab & hilarious but I don't think they portray 'normal' as okay - Betty is constantly teased for the way she looks and is surrounded by skinny, 'gorgeous' people. So, in a way, she's 'abnormal' in the show. I love it though - the humour is great and she's a great actress. Daniel Meade is quite yummy too
