What are good outside plants?

I want to plant something colorful and something that will stay bloomed all season...what do you suggest?

empatients (sp) and roses are my two choices. They each bloom all year...

I would say roses and daffodills cause they bloom all season . they also take the sun well too . good luck and i hope I helped.
