Ultra poverty is a persistent form of poverty which locks one in a cycle of poverty because of things like overpricing housing, underpaid jobs, and the like. We would like very much to associate it with third world countries, in which it does exist, but it's also running rampant in America, as well. Here, we have made what's called generational poverty, which is when the only viable skills a child possesses from his/her background when they reach the age of majority are those needed to exploit the welfare system.

Living without adequate food. No electricity. No running water. Believe it or not, there are still people in the US who are living this way. It means that these are people who don't even have the basic necessities of life- unlike those who are collecting all the government assistance & living better than I or you are.

people with absolutely nothing whilst also in credit to the tune of tens of thousands, then will have to work for corporations under the new bankcruptsy laws for pennies on the dollar to pay off their debt. at least people in africa are free and poor. but in america for instace you're a slave to corporations in debt, and probably can't find anywhere to live either.
