Why do you say that? who said it is called that? who said you say the correct word? who do you think you are actually?

Perhaps I can be of some assistance here... We Brits call it a rubber because you use it to RUB stuff out... see? We are really very simple!! Americans on the other hand, apparently call it an eraser because you use it to ERASE stuff.


Who is correct? Does it matter? Each to their own. "You say tomato, I say tomayto, let's call the whole thing off..."
As for the last part of your question, who do I think I am? I am me. Plain and simple.

I think Americans say "eraser" where Brits tend to say "rubber".

Of course, a rubber to an American is an entirely different thing and I don't know WHAT the Brits would call it.

this seems like a weirdly phrased question, inflammatory actually.

It doesn't matter, they're just words.

You should be more concerned with them making "erasing devices" out of baby skulls.

i say eraser bcuz in my grade there are a lot immature people that tease you when u say rubber as they say its like a condom.. i know its quite sad!!
