Letting our material desires get played by entertainment and advertising? So we want more than
we can afford to own? And demand more wages and benefits to pay for them? Then the corrupt types of Rich crying publicly, but laughing in private? Simply raising their prices for their goods? And the Middle Class "brings home" more money every week? But doesn't "have" any more money, because everything costs more? And the Rich get richer, and the Poor get clobbered?

I disagree totally. The poor do not get clobbered, the middle classes get clobbered to pay for the poor, particularly the unemployed. How much of my taxes goes to keep single mums chucking multiple kids out by different fathers, or bone idle twats or druggies who have no intention of working. The unemployed get free, dental costs, we pay, free prescriptions, we pay, free housing, we pay, free council tax, we pay, free school dinners for the kids, we pay, free home insulation grants, we pay, etc etc etc. How are the poor being clobbered exactly?

The middle classes are the ones being clobbered to pay for this underclass.

Welcome to the world of cRapitalism - what Americans are spoon fed from birth to worship.

At the same time the so-called free press works 24/7 to keep Americans ignorant so that they don't even know to question the pablum they are being fed.

But the MIDDLE class you speak of pays for both the rich AND the poor - why they continue to accept such a system is beyond me. Apparently they have bought the 'get-rich-quick' lie that permeates our society. Or all those years of being taught NOT to think outside the box (as if there is no way to tweak our system to make it more fair).

Overlying all of this is a corrupt government which lies to its citzens about the true nature of our foreign policy which is bleeding us all dry in more ways than one.

Middle class people as you call them are in their own right to be where they are! They, like me have worked hard to get to where they want to be! I worked hard in school and hard to get the job I have now. If that means having more possessions or spending a little more on clothes why shouldn't I. I give back to society already. I pay tax and I volunteer weekly which also leads me to taking special needs children on breaks which is funded solely by the club itself! I raise money for charities regularily and always give what I can afford! We work hard to be successful in life! I'm not greedy but I deserve what I've achieved. Everyone makes their own luck in life and I've made mine! I wasn't fed with a silver spoon!

Everyone should take responsibility, it is our country, society and community, it's our government, laws and even our businesses; because even though we don't own them, they can't operate or make money without us. We have a lot more influence than we think. Unfortunately most people don't want to take their share of the responsibility, they want someone else to wave a magic wand and make everything alright.
So you can blame whoever you want, it won't make a difference. Only when the people are prepared to stand up and be counted and use their democratic rights and responsibilities will any real change be made.

NO!!! Its the middle class that is being taxed into the ground already.

Who do you think is going to have to pay for all of these meaningless GRAND GESTURES over this Global Warming nonsense. Its so easy for the Lefty's and the liberals to spend other peoples money. It makes me sick.

Yours is a very socialist point of view. Socialism does not work. It is easy to put a positive spin on what you take as a negative. In the US black kids in bad neighborhoods often get scholarships to play sports in college. They get free education. Some then go on to play professional sports. In less than four years some can go from dirt poor to multi-millionaires. There are numerous opportunities to make it big in the US.

No. Mass immigration is the problem. In the UK at least.
