It maybe too late with seeds but you can still go to your local gardening center and get plants that are already started. This will help get a jump on growing season. Or go ahead and plant seeds and see what happens. With the crazy weather we've been having in US lately, summer could last till Xmas!!!

Right now if you still want to have a chance of them maturing before the first frost. We always plant Memorial day weekend in my area. Some plants/seeds mature and are ready in 60-70 days others such as pumpkins take 120 days. We find it easier to buy certain plants such as cucumbers, tomatoes, broccoli and peppers that are already established and growing well. We paid $2.75 for 4-6 paks of each. If we bought the seeds they were around $1.40 a package and you have to hope they grow before anything happens to them.

now would probably be a good time although it depends on what you want to plant . I would say if you want squash now would be a good time . I m not in your region though so it may be better to ask your extension service . good luck .
