I'm feeling all nervous about it. I haven't had a new job for 5 years and I can't relax! I'm off this week - finished the old job last week - so i'm spending my time ebaying, cleaning and packing my house up as I'm relocating. How can I stop feeling so nervous?! I know I can do the job but I'm just not good at new starts!

Hiya, it was my first day at a new job today! Yes I was nervous but you know what I had a nice day and it was absolutely fine. Just as it will be for you. There is nothing you can do about the nerves just remember that they picked you for a reason and they WANT you to work for them. Best of luck to you, I know you'll be fine x

It's normal to be nervous when starting a new job. Afterall, your the new person and you'll probably be asking everyone where the bathroom is! I don't think you can get rid of the nervousness altogether (without medication) but there are a few things you can do before starting your first day:

- Research the company

- Plan what you will wear for the week

- Find out if anyone in your network knows anyone who works at your company. Have them introduce you before you start your new job.

Remember to always ask questions you first day. Interact with your co-workers. Don't forget to smile.

I am exactly the same when starting a new job. Most people are nervous. Youve already got the job, you should try to relax now and enjoy this week off.
Once your first day is overwith you will wonder what you were worrying about.
Good luck

Just remember, everyone was new at one point.
When I started my new job, I just tried not to think about it until I got there on my first day.
Just remember to smile and I don't think you will have too much to worry about.

Best of luck

That's the usual feeling of a new comer in the job. But that will subside in your first day of work when you begin knowing your co-employees and received orientation obout your new job.

I hate change too. You will calm down once you get there.

Do dome breathing exercises, and meditate for awhile when you start to feel anxious.
