My Lord, if your words in Ezekiel 18:4 were true, why would they told me there is life after death?

this is the trouble with people who read the bible they take a few words from a scripture and think the bible is wrong.
(i won't go into the answer as S O T C done it well)
you must study the bible read all the text in a scripture and seek out supporting text .That way you won't have to go to yahoo answers and ask poorly researched question.

(Ezekiel 18:4) Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.

Because the soul is the complete person, breathing, living. Not something spiritual that departs the body at death.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

If we die before Armageddon, we can look forward to being resurrected [ Rev. 20; 12,13]
And we will be resurrected back to the surface of the earth.
(Psalm 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

(Psalm 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

This is the ' life after death'.

The meaning of this passage : Ezekiel spoke out against a
false use the people were making of a doctrine of inherited
guilt ( perhaps based on a false understanding of Ex 20:5,
34:7 ) Which follows his description of three men , standing for three generation , who break the three/four generation
pattern . soul . "Life or person" , not used here to distinguish
spirit from body . Now go tell God how sorry you are for your
Sin in speaking out in ignorance against Him . Read the
Bible and become Wise . May God have mercy on you and
reveal His truth to you , Amen......

The Law is of Faith now:
Romans 3:31
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

and faith = trust. We trust God and are counted as righteous.
