This is a valid program but it is not required to run on startup.

This program is not required to start automatically as you can run it when you need to. It is advised that you disable this program so that it does not take up necessary resources.

ctfmOn
ctfmon.exe is a process belonging to Microsoft Office Suite. It activates the Alternative User Input Text Input Processor (TIP) and the
Microsoft Office XP Language Bar. This program is a non-essential system process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

Note: ctfmon.exe could also be a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Use WinPatrol (scotty the little sniffer!) from BillP Studio at www.winpatrol.com.
You can safely remove ALL entries in the start-up program.
(Programmers believe that if you have their programs, then you use it all the time and want it to start immediately. So they give their program priority!)
Your computer will run faster.
