ok once again,i'm not attacking..and i'm not asking about the sinfulness because i know it's because God has condemned it for you..i'm asking about the "unnaturalness"....i just want to understand....

many christians give the reason (among other reasons) for them to be against homosexuality because it's "unnatural"....

but for humans and other animals isn't a celibatic lifestyle JUST as unnatural?after all we,as living creatures are not really MEANT to be celibatic are we?

so why is homosexuality regarded as "more" unnatural and unnacceptable in society? neither result in harming anybody....

Homosexuality is perverse and unnatural. Celibacy is a choice, often made for God. A way of sacrificing that which is natural to the flesh and focusing on God. Some people remain celibate for non-religious reasons but I do not think there are huge groups of them. With celibacy, the importance is in the sacrifice.

Homosexuality is not something people do as a sacrifice for God. Homosexuality takes the sexual act and perverts it. That which was meant for procreation now becomes an unnatural desire with no ability to procreate.

Additionally, sex, outside of marriage is a sin. This means that all people should remain celibate unless married.

I see what you are trying to make of this, but the two are worlds apart. Sexual sin is the perversion of the sex act...celibacy is not and never could be considered in that same category.

Both are unnatural.

On the false premise that asceticism imparts piety, the imposing structure of clerical celibacy was erected. It appears that the entering wedge was arbitrarily construing Paul’s command that an overseer should be the husband of one wife to mean that in the event his wife died he might not marry again.—1 Tim. 3:2; Rom. 7:1-3.

Gradually the opinion prevailed that once a man had been ordained he was not to marry and then that only single men should be ordained. The first church council to promulgate such a rule was that of Elvira, Spain, in A.D. 305. In the fifth century the rule became general.

Even as Tertullian had extolled the virtues of celibacy in the third century, so Gregory I, “the Great,” strongly advocated clerical celibacy in the sixth, and Gregory VII, Hildebrand, endeavored to enforce clerical celibacy in the eleventh century, taking the strongest of measures to that end. Then in the mid-sixteenth century the Council of Trent once and for all settled the matter by formulating specific rules governing celibacy in the Roman Catholic Church.

Compulsory clerical celibacy finds support only in asceticism, which is of pagan origin. Weighed in the balances of reason, the facts and the Scriptures, compulsory clerical celibacy is found to be sadly wanting, bringing forth only bitter fruits. It clearly comes under the prophetic condemnation: “The inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, . . . forbidding to marry.”—1 Tim. 4:1-3.

In islam celibacy is not good coz women's and men's bodies were designed to be the complement of each other...and this is also the reason why homosexuality is forbidden...

pls think how unhappy homosexuals live and then recall God has forbidden all those things that degrades us and make us feel unhappy...every rule has a reason to be

To attempt to equate homosexuality with celibacy is totally absurd.

Celibacy is the normal, proper, and natural "default" condition for all unmarried human beings ... with no exceptions.

Homosexuality is against the natural law, totally offensive to normal humanity, a known risk to health, and an abomination in the eyes of God.

1 Timothy 1:1-5
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

Celibacy is far more perverted than homosexuality. However, when subjected to catholic rationalization, celibacy comes out smelling like a rose. People who have no knowledge of sex as they age, in other words perverts, are the perfect people to give advice to normal people about sex, in their minds.

Well you should have been taught this at school. However since you must not have been to school on that day. Sex is meant for reproduction, not for sick fantasies. One way and one way only produces children as a result of sexual intercourse. That is the correct application, if a fig tree produces leaves before the figs it is considered perverted because by nature it should produce figs before it produces leaves just like gays and lesbians. Okay???

no longer even somewhat. Homosexuality is an abuse of sexuality. Refraining from sexuality isn't an abuse in any respect. Edit: "That and the actual undeniable fact that they deal out sexual suggestion and dictates whilst they themselves have supposedly on no account engaged in coitus." before everything, monks do no longer "deal out sexual suggestion." They coach Married couples the sweetness and overall performance of their particular vocation in the Church. What in the worldwide made you think of that they tried to furnish information on the actual area?!

You know we have screamers about homosexuality and act as if this is the only sexual sin. All sex outside marriage is sin. We are not big on knowing fornication is sinful and most minsters shun teaching that it is. Do you wonder why?

Homosexual DOES harm, but celibacy does not.

Homosexuality:

- opens doors for demons to enter
- can give you AIDS and other STD's
- is not of God
- defiles your body and the other's

Celibacy:

- is ok for those who want it but the Lord does not command it
- does not hurt yourself or others

Having said that, I do not believe that the Lord requires celibacy from priests. I believe this is a man made rule which is not of God.
