Alright, I've seen this many times and this always works. Make a mixture of salt and warm water in a small cup or shot glass, cover your naval with it then lean back. Do this at least twice a day and you shoud be feeling much better very soon. Also, go buy "Dr. Bronners" liquid soap. You can get it at most healt food stores or piercing studios. This is THE most important part! That soap is a god send I swear! Good luck!

Oh dear. Mine was like this for a while. How long have you had it done for? It may be the belly bar? If the bar is to small this could be a possibility. Get an egg cup, fill it with warm water and sea salt and hold it over your belly button for about 3-4 Min's and then get a Cotton bud and dip it in water and just clean around top hole and button hole. If it's really bad cover it up with tissue an d sellotape or dressing tape. If the problem persist go back to where you got it done from.

NO (!!!) hydrogen peroxide. That is highly corrosive... YES to the Bronner's soap and salt water. Clean with the soap first, then rinse with the salt water.
THEN... use Neosporin. NO alcohol (!!!). I had this same problem with a nose piercing years ago. It was infected for 6 months, and someone finally told me to stop using alcohol, and start using Neosporin. Cleared it up within a day.
That's the key... if you do not see healing within 24 hours after trying this regimen, go see a physician, *immediately*, as the infection can spread quickly. That's more trouble than it's worth. ;)

Remove the navel ring, you may be allergic to the metal.Use any gloves ( disposables) with a cotton ball, soaked with Hydrogen Peroxide, dab area allowing it fizz to draw out the puss, wipe dry with a clean cotton ball, with another cotton ball dab with alcohol, then apply "triple fast heal" Polysporin to wound, cover with a sterile bandage or bandage that is large enough to cover entire area plus at least 1" around sore area. Change every 6-8 hrs more often if you sweat alot or get into alot of dust. DO NOT touch it with bare hands!!!
If it doesn`t start to heal in 2 days go to Doctor for antibiotics

Ouch. I had mine done 2 years ago and mine went septic for 12 months then just healed. Try some anasthetic spray or warm water with salt in with a cotton bud. Just wipe it on gently and leave it to dry. Dont pick off the scab though! It makes it worse. Gl x

You need to see GP and get antibiotics. Hurry before you end up with something dreadful and dont waste time trying to treat it yourself. Cant understand why anyone would want to do naval piercings - always prone to infection.

Take out the ring/stud and let it heal. I had the same problem with mine and in the end it caused me so much grief and I never showed it because it was always sore that I just took the bl**dy thing out and I've never looked back!
I just put a strong anti septic cream on and it healed lovely but if yours doesn't heal soon go to doctors!

Peroxide should help the infection. If it does not clear up the infection, go to the doctor.
Naval piercings take awhile to heal. Do not let your clothes rub against it. Try to wear only white cotton against it, if anything, because the dye in clothes will cause infection.
