I hope you are right, but let`s just say you`re not. The ice is melting now, and if it become worse, I am glad I don`t live by the ocean. but I hope you are right, I do!

WHAT'S WRONG WITH WARMER?
Increased rainfall in some places
Decreased rainfall in others
Flooding
Drought
More hurricanes
Increased hurricane intensity
Soil erosion
Desertification
Rising sea levels
Loss of agricultural land
Glacial retreat
Inundation of low lying islands
Melting ice caps
Warming seas and oceans
Population migration
Acidification of seas and oceans
Disruption to food chains
Loss of marine life
Abnormal migration patterns
Extinction and threat to species
Spread of disease
Decline in crop production
Insect infestation
Water scarcity
Landslides and avalanches
Loss of habitat
Economical impact
Increased wildfires
Deforestation
Disappearing beaches
Damage to tundra regions
Impact on ozone layer
Threat to boreal forests
Loss of wetlands and marshland
Coastal erosion
Decline in bird population
Melting of permafrost
Increased allergens
Coral destruction and bleaching
Impact on winter sports and tourism
Loss or Arctic sea ice
Increased heatwaves
These are not predictions - every one of them is happening now and has been accurately documented. Not once, not twice, but thousands of times over. These are not based on theories, reports, experiments or speculation but based on things that everyday people are observing in their everyday lives.
PROOF WE CAN CHANGE THE CLIMATE
It's a basic physical property of greenhouse gases that they trap heat. If you're going to dispute that then you need to rewrite the laws of physics. You'd have the same success as trying to disprove gravity or the existence of light. Any increase in greenhouse gas levels will result in more heat being contained within our atmosphere. If you dispute that then you have to dispute that the planet has ever warmed and cooled.
RE THE OTHER POINTS YOU MENTIONED
Weather and climate are two totally different things. Next you'll be saying we can'tpredict that it gets colder in winter.
Gore isn't a scientist he's merely repeating the work of scientists.
You're sort of right about the thermomenter except that it was 1592 and wasn't a thermometer as such.
We know about world temperatures from a variety of different sources - oxygen isotope analysis, dendrology, sedimentary deposition, analysis of natural cycles, glaciation etc. Differnt approaches but they all produce the same accurate results.
No guess work but precise scientific study conducted over more than 100 years by a wide range of scientific disciplines approaching the subject from many angles but always arriving at the same conclusion.
You've obviously seen the facts but chose to ignore them, it would be pointless giving you any more.
There's only two things you've said that are accurate - H2O is essential and getting rid of cow farts will help.

Global warming hasn't been caused by humans too much until recently, with cars.
Everything is a guess. Nobody really knows anything, right.
Everybody hears about global warming and thinks that the world will flood. It won't. Or they think that a little more sun won't hurt, but there are a lot of other concerns. Many natural disasters like hurricanes are caused by heat.

It seems that most people "prove" that global warming is produced by human activity, not by referring to facts, but by quoting "experts". Some people are very trusting of experts and get angry and frustrated at those of us who are not.
The trouble is that even a consensus of experts is deserving of skepticism because it's too easy for people in a particular field to go with the flow (I see it amongst my colleagues often). There are many examples where a group of experts has agreed on something which was completely absurd, a good example is the consensus of climatologist in the 1970's predicting the coming ice age.

No they can not prove their theory of global warming. I especially like when they make reference to the 450 million years of data. At best there could be 100 years of recorded data concerning the weather, anything else is pure guesswork!

Actually it really doesn't matter if global warming is real or not. The FACT is, we are polluting and we all need to do our part in making this a better place for everyone, including those not born yet. It makes me angry that peole can say there is no such a thing as global warming and say we don't have to do anything. Those people are very wrong; if nothing is done to protect mother earth there will be irreversible harm done. This isn't a political debate, it is a matter of doing what is right.

No man can change the planetary climate, we can do things to alter it briefly but to change its current course is impossible.
Yes the planet is on a global warming trend, but honestly I dont understand why it is such a fuss now, Earth has been on a warming trend for MILLIONS of years,(ever since the ice age) these warming and cooling trends have been goin on for HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of years. It is more of a cosmic trend then planetary, the planet warms and cools because of its current location in the universe. our galaxy warms as its orbit nears certain cosmic events.
I know all you tree huggers will get mad at this truth, but research it the info is at your fingertips.
Al gore is a FAKE and so is his cause, the only reason he is involved with any of this is because he has investments in recycling, and alternitive fuel sources.

Please take a nice quiet walk in the countyside & calm down, find some friends, have some really good simple food ...
It is scary being dumped on by the last generation & being left with all the unforseen concequences of uncontrolled growth & consumerism. Sorry but climate change is happening - facts and techniques at www.ipcc.ch.
It will take all of us to try & mitigate the effects of what is happening; so please take some time, breath some fresh air & don't wack out on us.

Hey man, weather cant be predicted for a few days. But weathermen can predict weather over a few yrs. This can be observed from Past records. if u want u can search on google The 1st link that comes is surely useful.

the cause of global warming is very much debatable
what is not is the consequence of it.
there will be no penguins; polar bears and many other species of animals and plants diretly hit by the global warming process.the earth will be flooded and parched in parts; making life difficult for most humans and animals.
the flora and fauna of ages ago is known from preserved fossilised specimens.
what you are talking is a conservationists nightmare and pure sacrilege. i hope you are not lynched by the green peace guys.
years of painstaking documentation and fossil compilation and carbon dating etc cannot be dismissed in this fashion.
and it is proven that burning of fossil fuels(read- petrol, coal)
and cfc emissions etc. have hugely contributed to the formation of holes in the ozone layer of the atmophere thereby letting in harmful radiation (ultraviolet radiation)
which has caused further warming.

Now...the effects is not yet experienced by you or by me. However, we have to consider the future effects. Would you?
I agree that no one can prove that man can change the worlds climate. However, based on the study on global warming, you and me can do something on it....and it depends on you whether u do something or not.
